Woman committed after refusing to give ID

 A CT woman was arrested and committed to a mental hospital after refusing to give a hotel clerk ID

Hartford Courant reporter Edmund Mahony talks about an unusual story he covered that involved a woman being committed for refusing to give ID. 

Justice Stephen D. Ecker suggested the woman, described at the time as suffering from non-violent mental illness, had demonstrated at least as much emotional stability through her ordeal as those who forced medication on her.
